Halloween "Hoopla!"

We had so much fun this week learning all about Halloween, and all about spiders!
Check out the pictures below to see all the "Halloween Hoopla!"

Students enjoyed working on reading centers that focused on a theme of Halloween and Spiders!

Student share:
This week, we began our "shares" during morning meeting. The students have done a great job so far! Abigail shared about her trip to Egypt, Anthony shared about getting a Bruins puck at a Bruins game, Charlie shared a special gem with us, and Erin shared about her special cat.
We can't wait for more students to share!!

In morning meeting, we did a "Spider Web" greet, where we had to roll a ball of yarn to a friend to say good morning. At the end of the greet, we completed our very own spider web!!

Mr. Murphy, the Librarian at Fox Hill, read us Creepy Carrots on Tuesday!

After reading the story Aaaarrgghh Spider, we charted whether or not we were afraid of spiders. Wow, only two students said they were afraid!!

Our Halloween celebration was a blast!!! Check out the pictures below to see all the fun. A HUGE THANK YOU to the parents for volunteering your time at our Halloween Celebration. We could not have done it with out you!!

Get the "Kindergarten Conversation" started at home!
-Ask your child if he/she is afraid of spiders? Why or why not?
-What was your child's favorite activity during our Halloween celebration?
-We learned two new letters this week: i and u. What sounds do those letters make? Can your child think of any words that begin with those sounds?
-Our shake breaks...

- We will be having library on Wednesday next week, and the following week. Sorry for the confusing library schedule!
