School Information

• School begins at 8:35 and dismissal for Kindergarten is 1:10. 
• Important Note: If your child arrives to school after 8:35, they are considered tardy and must report to the office before going to his/her classroom. 

Transportation

• First Graders may take the bus to and from school.
• Please check the local newspaper to determine your child's bus number and for the bus schedule, or you can also check the bus schedule {here}.
• When dropping off your child in the morning, please be sure to drop off your child (no earlier than 8:15) following the access road around the school.
• If picking up your child in the afternoon, please be sure to follow the parent pick up line using the access road around the school. 
• If your child has a change in his/her normal dismissal, please send in a note to school in writing at least one day in advance. 

What does my child need to bring to school?

Backpack	It is recommended that your child brings a backpack to, and from school Please be sure to label the backpack clearly with his/her name on it
Lunch	Your child may bring a lunch from home or buy a lunch at school If bringing a lunch from home, please be sure to have your child’s name labeled clearly on the lunchbox. Lunches do not need to be nut-free.
Snack	We have snack in our classroom daily in the mornings Please send your child with a nutritious snack that is easy to open and easy to eat! Please send your child's snack in a separate container/bag from his/her lunchbox Please send your child with any utensils if needed All snacks must be peanut and tree-nut free!!!
Water Bottle	Please label your child’s disposable and/or reusable water bottle with his/her name on it
Transportation Notes	Please make sure you put any change in your child’s dismissal in writing.
Recess	Weather permitting, the children go outside for recess everyday. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. When outside, children may be running or climbing on the play structures.

More Lunch Information
Students have lunch each day. Burlington uses an online system to pay for lunch. You can put money into your child's account using the PayPAMS website. You can sign up or register for your child's lunch plan {here}. You will need your child's ID number to register for lunch. Please ask your child's Kindergarten teacher if you are unsure of his/her ID number.  

The price for lunch is $3.00 and includes an entree, vegetable, fruit and the option of milk/juice. If your child does not want the main entree, they have the option of getting PBJ, a bagel, or Grilled Cheese on Tuesdays/Thursdays or Pizza on Mondays.
