Miss Christie:
Hello! My name is Kristina Christie, and I have been working in the Burlington school system for 6 years. This will be my first year teaching first grade. Previously, I taught Kindergarten at Fox Hill for two years, and worked as a reading tutor at Pine Glen. I have lived in Burlington for most of my life, and feel deeply connected to this tight-knit community. I went to Merrimack College where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Moderate Disabilities. I have my Master's degree in Reading at American International College.
When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family and friends. I like to watch sports, especially the Celtics and Patriots. When I have free time I like to exercise. I love the warm weather and my favorite place to go is the beach!
Ever since I was a little girl, school has been a special place for me and I hope to instill that same feeling into your First Grade child. Working with children is a passion of mine, especially young students, as their energy and enthusiasm for learning is contagious, and makes teaching fun!
