Kindergarteners were busy DISCOVERING this week!
Take a look below to find out what we discovered!
Persuading for a Pet:
This week, we discovered new facts about three different animals, in hopes to persuade Ms. Pavlicek at the Burlington Science Center for a class pet. We researched about bunnies, hamsters, and fish, to gain information in order to convince Ms. Pavlicek that we should have a class pet.
After researching each animal, students picked one animal that they really wanted as a class pet. We began writing our letters on Tuesday, and will finish by next week.
After we finish our letters, we will send them to Ms. Pavlicek, and will find out whether or not we are persuasive enough to get a class pet!!
Stay Tuned!!!
Book Shares:
We finished up our book shares this week! I was so impressed with every student's knowledge of the book they brought in to share. Each student summarized what the book was about, and shared his/her favorite part. Some students even read parts of the book...Great job!
Thanks for all your help at home!!
We had fun counting around the room like bunnies!
This week, we learned about "magic E." We discovered that Magic E comes at the end of CVC words, and makes the other vowel in the word say its long sound.
Check out the activity we did below!
On Friday, we discovered at the Discovery Museum!!!
Check out some pictures below to see all the fun!
A big THANK YOU to our parent chaperones who joined us on the trip!
